第66题 It seemed impossible that these ______ boats could survive in such a storm. 我查了一下好像frail 是形容人很易碎很脆弱所以我选了fragile

老师我对下册第8课的C中第2题不是很理解 The suspect committed suicide, which amounted to a confession of guilt. 这个amount to 不是有所成就吗这句话应该怎么理解谢谢

incurable 强调那种不治之症，本句讨论的是mental disease, 应选用untreatable，表达的意思是(并非)不能治疗

1.注意是broken vase，破碎的花瓶。无法twiddle
2. 注意后面的介词搭配over。 twiddle一般接sth., 或者 with sth.

Smith carefully______ the loose hairs from the shoulders of his jacket. 请问这里能不能用plucked 就是Smith抽掉头发
注意句子是说从shoulders of his jacket，所以用Pluck不合适，pluck的意思是摘；拔；拔掉

whirl sth.的含义是make sth. move around quickly，所以用来说转动旋钮就不合适了。

relieve 接of，用于短语relieve sb. of sth. ,意思是某人从...解脱/摆脱出来。没有你所理解的含义。

第66题 It seemed impossible that these ______ boats could survive in such a storm. 我查了一下好像frail 是形容人很易碎很脆弱所以我选了fragile
frail除了有“虚弱的”含义之外，还有一个意思是不太结实，容易坏的。 fragile一般指物品容易破碎，比如瓷器fragile.

amount to有“等同，意味着...”的含义。
