答：It was one of a number of councils called by the papal authorities to introduce necessary reforms in the face of the growing threat to the Roman Catholic Church. The Catholic Reformation was to a great extent occupied with the principles and requirements laid down at the Council of Trent.

老师，您好，单元练习4 第15题，特伦托会议：这里红色部分的意思是：反改革所用的大多数原则和要求都由特伦托会议指定。对吗？

另外 Catholic Reformation 书上是counter-reformation,不知道单词不同 有没有关系？

catholic reformation就是指的counter-reformation。
counter作为一个前缀，指的是“对立的、反面的”
之前学的一个概念“reformation”就是“宗教改革”，由马丁路德主导，带来了新教（Protestantism）的创立。
罗马教廷为了回击，也进行了相应的改革，这个改革就叫做“counter-reformation”。实际上也就是罗马天主教派的改革，即“catholic reformation”。
